As our portrait sessions are for families, we currently have a limit of eight persons in place. Of course, if your family surpasses eight persons, we can make an exception for you; just be sure to inquire in advance so we can prepare!

Our entire team appreciates that pets are like family. However, we are not photographing pets at this time.

We do require that all children be at least eight months of age at the time of the portrait session. You can book with us in advance over the phone, or you can wait to book until the time is right using our online scheduling system.

We require a $250 refundable booking deposit for all clients to reserve their sessions. We have this measure in place as we reserve two hours of studio time and have our team of staff ready for each family. It is completely refundable, provided you:

(1) Show up to your session on time (i.e. no later than our 10-minute grace period)

(2) Do not cancel, reschedule, or alter your party size with less than two weeks notice.

Of course, special circumstances will always be considered.

We ask that all families prepare to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled session, as we cannot accommodate any late arrivals.

We ask that all clients come dressed in dark-coloured formal attire. Black is the best choice, however, dark colours such as navy blue or a deep maroon are also suitable. The most important thing is not to wear any white or pastel-coloured clothing. Please see our dress code page for examples of what to wear!

When booking a session with us, you will spend approximately two hours at our studio. This will include your 30-minute photo session, image processing, art education and image selection.

At Grayscale, we serve many families and work diligently to get everyone’s artwork to them promptly and in beautiful condition. Everything from artistry and retouching, handcrafted production, and shipping to your home ranges from 2-3 months.

At Grayscale, we proudly specialize in physical heirlooms for families that can be passed down from generation to generation. Therefore, any images selected on-site will only be produced physically and shipped to your home upon completion.
